Archived record for Q1 FY2027. The current period is Q2 FY2027.
Published
NVIDIA Corporation reported $81.61 billion in revenue for Q1 FY2027, the quarter ended April 26, 2026, up 85.2% from a year earlier, with Data Center revenue of $75.25 billion making up the bulk of the total. Net income of $58.32 billion was up 210.6% and ran well ahead of operating income of $53.54 billion, which was up 147.4%, because unrealized gains on NVIDIA's equity investments flowed through other income rather than the operating business. Gross margin of 74.9% was up 14.4 points, largely because the year-ago quarter absorbed a charge for H20 inventory and purchase obligations that export controls left unsellable in China.

| Coverage | The quarterly summary and the revenue split come from the MD&A tables in the Q1 FY2027 10-Q, which show this quarter as the sequential comparison column. The detailed income statement and cash flow statement come from NVIDIA's fourth quarter and fiscal 2026 earnings release (accession 0001045810-26-000019), whose Exhibit 99.1 presents three-months-ended January 25, 2026 columns alongside the twelve-month columns. Neither the FY2026 10-K nor the 10-Q presents a stand-alone fourth-quarter income statement or cash flow statement; the 10-K's statements cover the full fiscal year. No separate fourth-quarter balance sheet is needed or presented, because a balance sheet is a point-in-time statement: the January 25, 2026 balance sheet is NVIDIA's fiscal 2026 year-end balance sheet, reported on the face of the 10-K and again as the comparative column of the 10-Q, and it is carried in the fiscal 2026 annual entry above. | ||
| Balance sheet reference | The January 25, 2026 balance sheet for this quarter-end is the fiscal 2026 year-end balance sheet reported in the annual entry for fiscal year 2026 above. | ||

Notes
- Business type: NVIDIA is an accelerated-computing semiconductor and systems company, so the standard product-company template (revenue, cost of revenue, gross profit, operating income, net income, EPS; cash, debt, assets, equity; operating cash flow, capital expenditures, free cash flow) is the right frame. Because the company's results are dominated by one end market, the reportable-segment and end-market revenue splits from the segment notes are reported alongside the standard lines.
- All annual figures come from the FY2026 Form 10-K (accession 0001045810-26-000021), which presents three years of income statement and cash flow data (fiscal 2026, 2025 and 2024) and two years of balance sheet data (January 25, 2026 and January 26, 2025). Only those periods are reported here; no earlier filings were used.
- All quarterly figures come from the Form 10-Q for the quarter ended April 26, 2026 (accession 0001045810-26-000052), which presents the first quarter of fiscal 2027 and the prior-year first quarter of fiscal 2026. Because the first quarter is also the year-to-date period, no separate year-to-date column exists.
- Capital expenditures use the cash flow statement line 'Purchases related to property and equipment and intangible assets.' NVIDIA separately reports 'Principal payments on property and equipment and intangible assets' within financing activities ($101 million in fiscal 2026, $129 million in fiscal 2025, $74 million in fiscal 2024, and $33 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2027); those financed-purchase payments are not included in the capex figures above. Free cash flow is operating cash flow less capital expenditures.
- Total debt is the sum of short-term debt and long-term debt from the balance sheet, which matches the net carrying amount of the senior notes in the debt note ($8,468 million at January 25, 2026 and $8,470 million at April 26, 2026). It excludes operating lease liabilities. NVIDIA had no commercial paper outstanding at either date, against a program capacity increased to $25.0 billion in January 2026.
- Fiscal 2026 revenue of $215.9 billion was up 65% from fiscal 2025, which in turn was up 114% from fiscal 2024. Gross margin fell from 75.0% in fiscal 2025 to 71.1% in fiscal 2026 as the business shifted from Hopper HGX systems to full Blackwell datacenter solutions and absorbed a $4.5 billion charge for H20 excess inventory and purchase obligations recorded in the first quarter of fiscal 2026.
- That $4.5 billion H20 charge is why the prior-year comparative quarter (ended April 27, 2025) shows a 60.5% gross margin against 74.9% in the quarter ended April 26, 2026.
- First-quarter fiscal 2027 net income of $58.3 billion includes $15.9 billion of other income, which is primarily net gains on equity securities. Operating income of $53.5 billion is the better measure of the quarter's operating performance.
- Segment operating income totals exceed consolidated operating income because stock-based compensation, corporate infrastructure and support costs, acquisition-related costs and other enterprise-level items are not allocated to the two reportable segments. For fiscal 2026, segment operating income of $139,297 million reconciles to consolidated operating income of $130,387 million through $6,386 million of stock-based compensation, $1,997 million of unallocated operating expenses and $527 million of acquisition-related and other costs.
- The annual end-market split (Data Center, Gaming, Professional Visualization, Automotive, OEM and Other) is the presentation used in the FY2026 10-K. Beginning with the first quarter of fiscal 2027 NVIDIA changed to a market-platform presentation of Data Center (split into Hyperscale and AI Clouds, Industrial & Enterprise) and Edge Computing, and recast the comparable quarters. The two presentations are therefore not directly comparable, and the quarterly rows above use the new market-platform framework as filed.
- Geographic revenue is presented on a customer-headquarters basis. NVIDIA changed to this basis in the third quarter of fiscal 2026 and recast prior periods; the 10-K notes that in fiscal 2026 an estimated 76% of Data Center revenue from Taiwan-headquartered customers was attributed to end customers based in the United States and Europe, so headquarters location differs from end-customer location.
- Fiscal 2026 investing activities include $13.0 billion paid for Groq, Inc. and $17.5 billion of purchases of non-marketable equity securities; the first quarter of fiscal 2027 includes a further $18.6 billion of purchases of non-marketable securities. These investment outflows, not capital expenditures, are the reason investing cash outflows are far larger than capex.
- Per-share figures are presented as filed and already reflect the ten-for-one stock split of June 10, 2024; the FY2026 10-K restates fiscal 2024 and 2025 on that basis. The four-for-one split of July 20, 2021 predates all periods presented.
- Dividends declared and paid were $0.016 per share in fiscal 2024, $0.034 in fiscal 2025 and $0.04 in fiscal 2026, and $0.01 in the first quarter of fiscal 2027. The 10-Q discloses that on May 18, 2026 NVIDIA increased the quarterly dividend from $0.01 to $0.25 per share, payable June 26, 2026 to holders of record on June 4, 2026, an increase that falls after the quarter covered by these figures.
- The Q1 FY2027 10-Q separates the January 25, 2026 marketable securities balance into marketable debt securities of $39,065 million and marketable equity securities of $12,886 million; these sum to the $51,951 million single line reported on the FY2026 10-K balance sheet. Certain prior-year balances were reclassified to conform to the current presentation.
- The fiscal 2026 gross margin of 71.1% and fiscal 2025 gross margin of 75.0% are as stated in the 10-K's percentage-of-revenue table. The fiscal 2024 gross margin of 72.7% is computed from the income statement, since that table covers only two years.
- As of April 26, 2026 NVIDIA disclosed $119 billion of manufacturing, supply and capacity commitments, of which $95 billion is expected to be paid in the remainder of fiscal 2027.
Uncertainties
- The fourth quarter of fiscal 2026 is assembled from two sources rather than from a single stand-alone quarterly report: the summary and revenue split come from the Q1 FY2027 10-Q's management discussion, and the detailed income statement and cash flow statement come from the fourth quarter and fiscal 2026 earnings release. Figures taken from an earnings release are unaudited and are not presented with the note disclosures that accompany a 10-Q or 10-K, though the twelve-month columns of that release agree line for line with the audited fiscal 2026 statements in the 10-K. The quarter's segment revenue and operating income under the reportable-segment framework, and the geographic revenue split, are not broken out for the fourth quarter in either source.
- The trailing-twelve-months block is arithmetic derived from the two filings (fiscal 2026 plus the first quarter of fiscal 2027 minus the first quarter of fiscal 2026); it is not a figure NVIDIA reports.
- The FY2026 10-K presents only a two-year balance sheet, so the January 28, 2024 entry is limited to total shareholders' equity, shares outstanding and the closing cash balance taken from the equity and cash flow statements. Total assets, debt and other balance sheet lines for that date are not available in the filings covered here.
- Similarly, the April 27, 2025 balance sheet is not presented in the Q1 FY2027 10-Q; only equity, shares outstanding and the closing cash balance for that date are reported above.
- Total debt as reported here is borrowings only. Readers comparing against sources that include operating lease liabilities in debt will see a higher figure; NVIDIA's long-term operating lease liabilities were $2,572 million at January 25, 2026 and $3,878 million at April 26, 2026, with current portions included within accrued and other current liabilities.
- Fiscal 2026 depreciation and amortization of $2,843 million is the consolidated cash flow statement figure. The segment note's segment-level depreciation and amortization ($1.6 billion for Compute & Networking and $590 million for Graphics) excludes acquisition-related intangible amortization, which is not allocated to segments, so the segment amounts do not sum to the consolidated total.

How this page was built
This page was built from three of NVIDIA Corporation's own filings with the SEC, read one at a time. Nothing on it is taken from a pre-tagged dataset, a data vendor or another website. The figures are on the company's own fiscal calendar and in actual dollars, as the filings report them. Where the filings do not support a figure, the record says so instead of reporting a zero; this period names six such gaps.
A single company files thousands of pages with the SEC in a year, and no two companies file them the same way, so the reading and the assembly here are done by AI rather than by rules that break on the differences. Every pass is then audited back against the filings it came from before the page is published, and anything the filings do not support is left out and named rather than filled in. AI can still make mistakes. That is why the accession numbers are printed: the filing is the authority, and this page is a route to it.
