Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 26, 2026

Ticker Scout, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") believes in minimal data collection. This policy covers the tickerscout.ai website and the Ticker Scout MCP server at mcp.tickerscout.ai. Neither has accounts, signup, login, or forms. We collect essentially nothing.

Information We Collect

Ticker Scout does not require or collect any personal information to use the site. There are no accounts, no forms, and none of our own scripts run in your browser.

Our hosting and CDN provider, Cloudflare, necessarily handles the technical details of every request, including the requesting IP address, in order to route traffic and protect the site from abuse. That processing is governed by Cloudflare's own privacy practices. On the Cloudflare plan this site runs on, per-request logs are not available to us at all, so we do not receive or store visitor IP addresses.

There is one narrow exception, and it is worth stating plainly. If a request to the website or the MCP server is blocked by a security rule, our provider's dashboard may show us that blocked request's IP address for up to 24 hours, after which the provider deletes it. We look at that only when investigating an attack or abuse. We do not export it, keep a copy, or use it for any other purpose.

What we do receive and keep are aggregate traffic reports. For a given hour or day, these show which pages were requested, how many requests each page received, how many bytes were transferred, the HTTP status codes returned, and which crawler or automated tool made the request. They are counts, not visitors. No row in them corresponds to an individual reader, and nothing in them identifies a person.

The same reports also give us coarse audience totals: how many visits and page views the site received, and counts broken down by country, by device type (desktop, mobile or tablet), by browser, and by operating system. Like the figures above, these are site-wide counts.

Information We Do NOT Collect

Automated Access

This site is built to be read by AI agents and other automated tools, and most of its traffic is exactly that. We use Cloudflare's AI Crawl Control reporting, and we keep copies of it. It shows which AI crawlers and agents fetch the site, which pages they fetch, how often, and how much data they transfer. That is how we learn which parts of the site are genuinely useful and keep the data files working for the agents that read them.

These reports are grouped by crawler (for example, ChatGPT-User or ClaudeBot) and by page, as hourly and daily totals. A report tells us that a page was fetched a certain number of times. It tells us nothing about the person, if any, on whose behalf the fetch was made: we receive no identifier for them, and we do not attempt to obtain one.

MCP Server

Our MCP server at mcp.tickerscout.ai is covered by this policy. It is public and unauthenticated: there are no accounts and no API keys, and it has no way to tell one caller from another. It stores nothing of its own. Every tool call reads the same public files this website already serves and hands them back.

Per-request logging on that endpoint is deliberately switched off, so the technical details of a call, including the requesting IP address, are not captured or retained. We keep records of errors, which describe what failed rather than who asked. Beyond that we see only the same aggregate request counts we see for the website.

Search Engine Reports

We use Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools, the free reporting tools search engines provide to site owners. These show us aggregate information about how the site appears in search results, including the search queries that led to a click on tickerscout.ai and how many impressions and clicks each page received. This data is gathered by the search engines themselves, not by this site, and it reaches us only as aggregate counts. It is not tied to any individual, and we have no way to connect a search query to the person who typed it. We place no analytics script, cookie, or tracking pixel on any page.

Aggregate Statistics

The traffic, audience and crawler reports described above are aggregate statistics about our own pages: how many times something was fetched, by which automated tool, and when. They contain no personal information and no record of any individual reader. We retain them, and we may analyze, publish, license, or sell them, in whole or in part, as a dataset about how AI systems read published financial information.

To be explicit about where that line falls: we will never sell, rent, or license personal information, because we do not collect any. What we may commercialize is counts: the same kind of readership statistics any publisher keeps about its own work. Data we receive from search engines is excluded from this: it belongs to those providers under their terms, and we use it only to operate and improve the site.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
