| Adjustments note | No split, currency or depositary-share adjustment was applied. RTX reports in U.S. dollars and its shares are ordinary common shares, not depositary receipts. A 1.589-to-1 share event dated April 2020 appears in third-party market data, but it is the exchange ratio from the Raytheon Company / United Technologies merger rather than a stock split, and the share counts these filings print are continuous across it: weighted average diluted shares run 1,435.4 million in 2023, 1,343.6 million in 2024 and 1,356.4 million in 2025, with 1,342,287,676 shares outstanding at December 31, 2025 and 1,347,758,144 at June 30, 2026. Per-share figures are therefore reported exactly as the filings present them. |
Notes
- Fiscal years 2025, 2024 and 2023 are taken from the consolidated statements in the FY2025 10-K (accession 0000101829-26-000006), filed February 6, 2026 for the year ended December 31, 2025. The quarters ended June 30, 2026 and June 30, 2025, the six-month periods, and the June 30, 2026 balance sheet are taken from the 10-Q (accession 0000101829-26-000027), filed July 23, 2026. Those two filings define the periods this record holds; no other filing was used.
- RTX is presented on a standard industrial template, with the three reportable segments and contract backlog added, because segment mix and backlog are how an aerospace and defense manufacturer is read.
- RTX does not print a gross profit subtotal. `total_cost_of_sales` is the sum of the two cost lines the income statement does print, `cost_of_sales_products` and `cost_of_sales_services`, and `gross_profit` is total net sales less that sum. Every other income statement, balance sheet and cash flow figure is read directly off the face of the statement.
- `net_income_attributable_to_common_shareholders` is the line RTX prints as "Net income attributable to common shareowners", and it is the numerator of the reported earnings per share. `net_income` is the consolidated figure before the noncontrolling interest in subsidiaries' earnings is deducted.
- Cash flow figures carry the sign the statement prints, so capital expenditures, dividends paid, debt repayments and share repurchases are negative. `free_cash_flow` is operating cash flow less capital expenditures and is not a figure RTX itself reports.
- Two income statement lines carry a sign convention worth stating. `research_and_development` is a positive expense on the consolidated income statement, but it is negative inside `segment_results`, because that is how RTX prints the segment table: the segment identity, net sales plus research and development plus other segment items equals operating profit, depends on that negative sign. `non_service_pension_income` is negative because RTX presents it as a credit within "Non-operating expense (income), net", so a negative value means pension income and it reduces non-operating expense.
- On the balance sheet, redeemable noncontrolling interest sits between liabilities and equity, so total assets equal total liabilities plus redeemable noncontrolling interest plus total equity. `total_equity` includes the noncontrolling interest. `total_debt` is short-term borrowings plus long-term debt currently due plus long-term debt.
- The FY2025 10-K presents three years of income statement and cash flows but only two balance sheet dates, so FY2023 carries no balance sheet. The 10-Q presents balance sheets at June 30, 2026 and December 31, 2025 only, so the quarter ended June 30, 2025 carries no balance sheet.
- Neither filing presents a cash flow statement for a discrete three-month period, so no quarter in this record carries one. Cash flow for the current period is reported in the six-month `year_to_date` block and in `trailing_twelve_months`.
- `trailing_twelve_months` is derived, not filed: it is fiscal 2025 as reported in the 10-K, plus the six months ended June 30, 2026, less the six months ended June 30, 2025. Its balance sheet is the June 30, 2026 balance sheet, which is a point in time rather than a twelve-month total. Its weighted average share counts are combined on the same basis as the income figures, and the per-share amounts follow from them; RTX does not publish a trailing-twelve-month earnings per share.
- Segment net sales include inter-segment sales, so the three segments do not sum to consolidated net sales. RTX reports eliminations and other operations, corporate expenses and other unallocated items, the FAS/CAS operating adjustment, and acquisition accounting adjustments outside the segments, and those items bridge segment totals to the consolidated figures. `other_segment_items` is RTX's own caption covering cost of sales, selling, general and administrative expenses and other income.
- Backlog is RTX's remaining performance obligations. The company reports it rounded to the nearest billion dollars in management's discussion and analysis, and the values here carry that rounding. Total backlog was approximately $268 billion at December 31, 2025 and $289 billion at June 30, 2026.
- `dividends_declared_per_share` is the amount declared during the period, as the statement of changes in equity presents it, rather than the amount paid. Declarations do not fall evenly across quarters, so a quarterly amount is not one quarter of the annual amount.
Uncertainties
- Backlog figures are rounded to the nearest billion dollars by RTX and are described in the filings as approximate. They should not be treated as exact.
- The trailing-twelve-month weighted average basic and diluted share counts, and the basic and diluted earnings per share that follow from them, are derived by combining the annual and six-month weighted averages RTX reports. They are close approximations of a true twelve-month weighted average, not figures RTX publishes.
- No quarterly operating cash flow, capital expenditure or free cash flow figure is available for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 or the quarter ended June 30, 2025, because neither filing presents a three-month cash flow statement.
- The quarter ended June 30, 2025 carries no balance sheet, because the 10-Q presents balance sheets only at June 30, 2026 and December 31, 2025.
- Fiscal 2023 carries no balance sheet, because the FY2025 10-K presents only two balance sheet dates.

FAQ · RTX financial statements
How much revenue did RTX report in Q2 FY2026?
RTX Corporation reported $24.71 billion in net sales for Q2 FY2026, the quarter ended June 30, 2026. That is up 14.5% from $21.58 billion in the same quarter a year earlier, with organic growth at all three segments, Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney and Raytheon, partly offset by businesses divested during 2025.
What was RTX's earnings per share in Q2 FY2026?
RTX Corporation reported diluted earnings per share of $1.57 for Q2 FY2026, up 28.7% from $1.22 in the same quarter a year earlier. That reported figure is reduced by acquisition accounting adjustments, a recurring purchase-accounting charge that weighs on RTX's reported earnings every period rather than an item specific to this quarter. RTX raised its full-year outlook alongside the result.
How much profit did RTX make in Q2 FY2026?
RTX Corporation posted net income attributable to common shareowners of $2.14 billion for Q2 FY2026, up 29.1% from $1.66 billion a year earlier, on operating profit of $2.81 billion, up 31.0%. All three segments grew profit organically, and the year-ago quarter had carried a Pratt & Whitney customer bankruptcy charge that did not recur.
How big is RTX's backlog?
RTX Corporation ended Q2 FY2026 with a contract backlog of about $289 billion, its total remaining performance obligations, which the company rounds to the nearest billion dollars and describes as approximate. Company-wide defense bookings rose sharply from the year-ago quarter, led by Patriot interceptor awards at Raytheon.

When does RTX Corporation (RTX) next file with the SEC?
RTX Corporation (RTX) is expected to file its next Form 10-Q with the SEC on or around October 27, 2026. That date is a projection rather than a company-announced date: it is derived from RTX Corporation's own filing history with the SEC, by taking the date the company filed the same fiscal period a year earlier and adding 52 weeks. The most recent periodic report on file is the 10-Q for Q2 FY2026, the period ended 2026-06-30, SEC accession 0000101829-26-000027.

How this page was built
This page was built from two of RTX Corporation's own filings with the SEC, read one at a time. Nothing on it is taken from a pre-tagged dataset, a data vendor or another website. The figures are on the company's own fiscal calendar and in actual dollars, as the filings report them. Where the filings do not support a figure, the record says so instead of reporting a zero; this period names five such gaps.
A single company files thousands of pages with the SEC in a year, and no two companies file them the same way, so the reading and the assembly here are done by AI rather than by rules that break on the differences. Every pass is then audited back against the filings it came from before the page is published, and anything the filings do not support is left out and named rather than filled in. AI can still make mistakes. That is why the accession numbers are printed: the filing is the authority, and this page is a route to it.
