Notes
- Coverage: the FY2025 Form 10-K (accession 0001164727-26-000010) supplies fiscal years 2025, 2024 and 2023 for the statements of operations and cash flows, and the December 31, 2025 and 2024 balance sheets. The Q3 2026 Form 10-Q (accession 0001164727-26-000043) supplies the three months ended September 30, 2026 and 2025, the nine months ended September 30, 2026 and 2025, and the September 30, 2026 balance sheet. Fiscal 2023 carries no balance sheet because the 10-K presents only two year-end balance sheets.
- Discrete-quarter cash flow figures (Q3 2026 and Q3 2025) come from the condensed consolidated statements of cash flows in Newmont's Q3 2026 earnings release, furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to the Form 8-K filed October 22, 2026 (accession 0001164727-26-000041), because the 10-Q prints cash flows for the nine-month periods only. The release's quarterly columns sum to the 10-Q's nine-month totals (operating cash flow 3,785 + 2,924 + 2,768 = 9,477 million for 2026; 2,031 + 2,384 + 2,298 = 6,713 million for 2025). Each quarter records this as cash_flow_source_accession.
- Sign convention: figures carry the sign the statements print. Within costs and expenses, a positive amount is a cost and a negative amount is a gain (for example, the 1,066 million gain on sale of assets held for sale in 2025 appears as a negative). In other income (expense), the tax line, the noncontrolling-interest line and cash flow outflows (capital expenditures, debt repayment, share repurchases, dividends), a negative amount reduces income or cash.
- Newmont's statement of operations does not present gross profit or operating income subtotals; the record carries sales, costs applicable to sales (which excludes depreciation and amortization and reclamation and remediation, per the filing's footnote) and the other cost lines as printed.
- net_income_attributable_to_newmont_stockholders is the numerator of Newmont's earnings per share; net_income_including_noncontrolling_interests is the consolidated net income before the share attributable to the noncontrolling interest in the Suriname (Merian) operation.
- The 10-Q's statements of operations present fewer lines than the 10-K's: impairment charges and the change in fair value of investments and options are not shown separately on the face of the 10-Q and are included within other expense, net and other income (loss), net respectively. Those two line items therefore appear only in the annual periods, and other expense and other income are not like-for-like between the annual and interim periods. The 10-Q notes that certain prior-year amounts were reclassified to conform to the current presentation.
- capital_expenditures is the cash flow statement line 'Additions to property, plant and mine development'. free_cash_flow is net cash provided by operating activities less that line; it matches the free cash flow Newmont reports as a non-GAAP measure for 2025 (7,299 million), Q3 2026 (1,912 million), Q3 2025 (1,571 million) and the nine months of 2026 (7,261 million) and 2025 (4,486 million).
- Free cash flow is not shown for fiscal 2024 and 2023. Newmont defines free cash flow on net cash from operating activities of continuing operations, and reports 2,916 million for 2024 and 88 million for 2023 (operating cash flow of continuing operations of 6,318 million and 2,754 million less additions to property, plant and mine development); total operating cash flow in those years also includes discontinued operations (45 million and 9 million). Both operating cash flow lines are recorded for those years.
- total_debt is the carrying value of debt on the face of the balance sheet (current plus non-current) and excludes lease and other financing obligations. At September 30, 2026 the 10-Q's balance sheet shows no current debt line, so total debt equals the 5,087 million non-current debt.
- Share counts: common_shares_outstanding at December 31, 2025 and 2024 is the figure printed in the balance sheet's equity caption (1,089 million and 1,127 million). At September 30, 2026 it is derived from the statement of changes in equity as 1,050 million shares issued less 7 million treasury shares. The 10-Q cover reports 1,039,193,185 shares outstanding on October 15, 2026, after further repurchases.
- Dividends paid per common share are from the 10-K's selected results table for the fiscal years and from the footnotes to the 10-Q's statements of changes in equity for the interim periods ($0.26 and $0.78 for the three and nine months of 2026; $0.25 and $0.75 for 2025).
- The trailing-twelve-month view (October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2026) is derived as fiscal 2025 from the 10-K plus the nine months of 2026 less the nine months of 2025 from the 10-Q. Its operating cash flow (13,098 million), capital expenditures (3,024 million), share repurchases (5,669 million) and dividends (1,103 million) agree with the fourth quarter of 2025 plus the first three quarters of 2026 as printed in the Q3 2026 earnings release. Earnings per share is not computed for this view.
- Fiscal 2025 includes a 1,066 million gain within (gain) loss on sale of assets held for sale, which the 10-K attributes primarily to the completed sales of certain non-core assets; fiscal 2024 includes a 1,114 million loss on the same line, primarily write-downs on assets held for sale. Fiscal 2025 also includes 842 million of impairment charges.
Uncertainties
- Other expense, net and other income (loss), net are not directly comparable between the annual (10-K) and interim (10-Q) periods because the 10-Q folds impairment charges and fair-value changes on investments into them; the filings do not reconcile the two presentations line by line.
- Discrete-quarter cash flow figures are from the earnings release rather than the 10-Q, which prints cash flows for nine-month periods only; the release notes that certain amounts were reclassified to conform to the current presentation.

How this page was built
This page was built from three of Newmont Corporation's own filings with the SEC, read one at a time. Nothing on it is taken from a pre-tagged dataset, a data vendor or another website. The figures are on the company's own fiscal calendar and in actual dollars, as the filings report them. Where the filings do not support a figure, the record says so instead of reporting a zero; this period names two such gaps.
A single company files thousands of pages with the SEC in a year, and no two companies file them the same way, so the reading and the assembly here are done by AI rather than by rules that break on the differences. Every pass is then audited back against the filings it came from before the page is published, and anything the filings do not support is left out and named rather than filled in. AI can still make mistakes. That is why the accession numbers are printed: the filing is the authority, and this page is a route to it.
