PeriodQ2 FY2026

Published

Datadog reported $1.12 billion in revenue for Q2 FY2026, the quarter ended June 30, 2026, up 35.6% from a year earlier, and net income of $44.56 million against $2.65 million in the same quarter last year. GAAP operating income was $5.46 million, against an operating loss of $35.5 million a year earlier, so the observability software company remains close to break-even on operations and most of its pretax profit came from interest and other income. Free cash flow was $278.70 million, up 68.6%, and Datadog disclosed that usage from its largest customer began to decline in the third quarter of 2026, which it said may slow revenue growth.

NotesDatadog reports in US dollars and is not an ADR, so no currency or per-ADS conversion applies. The only stock splits on record are reverse splits effected before the company's 2019 initial public offering; every period reported here post-dates them, and the per-share amounts are exactly as the filings print them.

Notes

  • Figures come from two filings: the fiscal 2025 Form 10-K filed February 18, 2026 (accession 0001628280-26-008819) and the Form 10-Q for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 filed August 6, 2026 (accession 0001628280-26-054458). The discrete three-month cash flow figures are the exception and are described below.
  • These two filings print fiscal 2025, 2024 and 2023 on the face of the annual statements of operations and cash flows, balance sheets at December 31, 2025 and 2024, the three and six months ended June 30, 2026 and 2025, and a balance sheet at June 30, 2026. Those are the periods reported here.
  • All dollar amounts are stated in actual dollars. Every statement used prints its figures in thousands, and the share counts on the statements of operations and in the per-share notes are also in thousands; both have been converted. Per-share amounts are in dollars, as printed.
  • Cash flow for the three months ended June 30, 2026 and June 30, 2025: the 10-Q presents cash flows only for the six months ended June 30, so the discrete quarterly cash flow figures are taken from the condensed consolidated statements of cash flow and the free cash flow reconciliation in the second-quarter 2026 earnings release furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to the Form 8-K dated August 6, 2026 (accession 0001628280-26-053829). Those tables are unaudited. Every other figure in the June 2026 and June 2025 quarter entries is from the 10-Q.
  • Capital expenditures are reported here as the sum of purchases of property and equipment and capitalized software development costs, stated as a positive amount; the two component lines are also carried, with the negative sign the cash flow statement prints. Free cash flow follows the company's own definition - net cash provided by operating activities less those two items. The company publishes free cash flow for the quarters and six-month periods in its earnings releases; the fiscal-year free cash flow figures here are computed on the same definition from the 10-K's own cash flow statement.
  • Earnings per share is computed under the two-class method for Class A and Class B common stock, and the diluted computation also assumes conversion of the convertible senior notes, adding back the related interest expense net of tax. The field "net_income_attributable_to_class_a_common_stockholders_diluted" is the Class A column of the "Allocation of undistributed income" line the company prints in its net income per share note - the numerator of diluted Class A earnings per share only. It exceeds net income in the periods where the assumed conversion of the notes adds back interest expense net of tax; where no such add-back applies, as in fiscal 2023, the two are equal. It is not a total for all common stockholders, because the two-class method allocates a separate Class B amount alongside it - $8.2 million for fiscal 2025 and $3.2 million for the June 2026 quarter. For fiscal 2025 it is $111.5 million against net income of $107.7 million. Dividing net income itself by the diluted share count lands below the reported diluted per-share amount for that reason.
  • Total debt is the carrying amount of the convertible senior notes, current and non-current; Datadog has no other borrowings. The 2025 convertible senior notes were repaid during the first half of 2025, which is why the current portion is $634.0 million at December 31, 2024 and nil afterwards, leaving only the 2029 notes outstanding.
  • The 10-K presents balance sheets at December 31, 2025 and 2024 only, so the fiscal 2023 entry carries an income statement and a cash flow statement and no balance sheet. The 10-Q presents balance sheets at June 30, 2026 and December 31, 2025 only, so the June 2025 quarter carries no balance sheet.
  • Trailing twelve months is not a figure the company publishes. It is computed here as fiscal 2025 plus the six months ended June 30, 2026 less the six months ended June 30, 2025, using the filings above. No per-share amounts or share counts are given for that period, because the weighted-average share count and the two-class allocation of earnings are struck separately in each period and do not combine.
  • Revenue by geographic area is taken from the revenue note of each filing and is determined by the billing address of the customer. North America and International sum to total revenue in every period shown.
  • Remaining performance obligations is the aggregate transaction price allocated to performance obligations not yet delivered, as disclosed in the revenue note; the company states it in millions and expects to recognize substantially all of it over the following 24 months.
  • Datadog declared and paid no dividends in any period reported here, and no dividend line appears on its cash flow statements.

Uncertainties

  • The three-month cash flow figures for the June 2026 and June 2025 quarters come from an unaudited earnings release rather than from a Form 10-Q, because the 10-Q's cash flow statement covers only the six-month periods. They agree with the six-month figures in the 10-Q where the two overlap.
  • The trailing-twelve-month figures are derived by arithmetic from three reported periods rather than lifted from a filing, and no trailing per-share amount is offered.
  • Free cash flow and capital expenditures for fiscal 2025, 2024 and 2023 are computed from the 10-K's cash flow statement on the company's stated definition rather than printed on the face of that filing.
  • The first quarters of 2026 and 2025 are not presented as separate columns in either filing and are not reported here.

How this page was built

This page was built from three of Datadog, Inc.'s own filings with the SEC, read one at a time. Nothing on it is taken from a pre-tagged dataset, a data vendor or another website. The figures are on the company's own fiscal calendar and in actual dollars, as the filings report them. Where the filings do not support a figure, the record says so instead of reporting a zero; this period names four such gaps.

A single company files thousands of pages with the SEC in a year, and no two companies file them the same way, so the reading and the assembly here are done by AI rather than by rules that break on the differences. Every pass is then audited back against the filings it came from before the page is published, and anything the filings do not support is left out and named rather than filled in. AI can still make mistakes. That is why the accession numbers are printed: the filing is the authority, and this page is a route to it.
