Published

ConocoPhillips reported $19.52 billion in revenues and other income for Q2 FY2026, the quarter ended June 30, 2026, up 32.4% from a year earlier, and net income of $3.93 billion, up 99.4%, or $3.23 per diluted share. Prices did the work rather than barrels. The average realized price reached $62.33 per barrel of oil equivalent, up 36.2%, as Middle East supply disruptions lifted Brent and WTI crude benchmarks, while production averaged 2,248 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day, down 6.0%, on normal field decline and the noncore Lower 48 assets sold in 2025. Higher crude and bitumen realizations more than covered a sharply lower natural gas price and the absence of a prior-year gain on asset dispositions.

Notes

  • ConocoPhillips is an independent exploration and production company, so this record uses an upstream oil and gas template rather than a generic revenue/cost-of-goods frame: revenues and other income, purchased commodities, production and operating expenses, exploration expense, DD&A and taxes other than income taxes, alongside production volumes, average realized prices, capital expenditures, free cash flow and results for the five geographic operating segments.
  • The periods here are exactly the ones the two filings put on their face. The FY2025 10-K (accession 0001163165-26-000009) presents income statements and cash flow statements for 2025, 2024 and 2023 and balance sheets for 2025 and 2024. The second-quarter 2026 10-Q (accession 0001163165-26-000032) presents the three months and six months ended June 30, 2026 and June 30, 2025, and a balance sheet at June 30, 2026.
  • Because the 10-K's balance sheet covers only 2025 and 2024, the FY2023 entry carries no balance sheet. Total assets by segment for 2023 is shown under segment results because that is where the 10-K prints it.
  • The 10-Q's balance sheet presents June 30, 2026 and December 31, 2025 only, so the Q2 FY2025 entry carries no full balance sheet. Its total equity of $65,572 million is taken from the 10-Q's statement of changes in equity, and its total assets of $122,599 million from the 10-Q's segment disclosures; both are figures the 10-Q prints for June 30, 2025.
  • The 10-Q's cash flow statement presents six-month columns only. Discrete three-month cash flow for the quarters ended June 30, 2026 and June 30, 2025 - operating cash flow, capital expenditures, proceeds from asset dispositions, dividends paid and share repurchases - is therefore taken from the detailed supplemental information ConocoPhillips filed as Exhibit 99.2 to its Form 8-K of August 6, 2026 (accession 0001163165-26-000030), which states the same line items in millions of dollars on the same basis as the financial statements. Capital expenditures for both quarters agree with the segment disclosures in the 10-Q itself.
  • Capital expenditures, dividends paid and share repurchases are stated here as positive cash amounts; the filings print them in parentheses as outflows. The line reported as capital expenditures is the filings' "Capital expenditures and investments". Free cash flow is operating cash flow less capital expenditures; ConocoPhillips does not print that subtotal itself.
  • Total debt is short-term debt plus long-term debt, which reproduces the total debt ConocoPhillips reports in its quarterly supplemental information ($23,444 million at December 31, 2025 and $23,290 million at June 30, 2026).
  • Earnings per share is struck under the two-class method on net income available to common shareholders, which is net income less dividends and undistributed earnings allocated to participating securities. That is why net income divided by diluted shares comes out a cent or two above the reported diluted figure; both the reported net income and the EPS numerator are carried here.
  • Effective in the fourth quarter of 2025 ConocoPhillips determined that its former Other International operating segment was no longer an operating segment and aggregated the residual results into Corporate and Other, recasting historical segment reporting. The 2024 and 2023 segment figures here reflect that recast presentation and will not match the segment tables in earlier annual reports; consolidated totals are unaffected. The 10-Q also states that certain prior-year line items were reclassified to conform to the current-year presentation.
  • Production and realized prices are carried in the units the filings print: MBOED and MMBOE for total production, MBD for crude oil, NGLs and bitumen, MMCFD for natural gas, and dollars per barrel, per MCF or per BOE for realized prices. Total production rose from 1,826 MBOED in 2023 to 1,987 MBOED in 2024 and 2,375 MBOED in 2025, which the 10-K attributes to new wells online across the portfolio and to the acquisition of Marathon Oil in the fourth quarter of 2024; production then fell to 2,248 MBOED in the second quarter of 2026 on normal field decline and asset sales.
  • The total realized price of $47.01 per unit for 2025 and $58.39 for 2024 is taken from the 10-K's commodity price discussion, which heads the line "$ per BBL" although it is struck across total production on a barrel-of-oil-equivalent basis; it is carried here as a per-BOE figure, consistent with how ConocoPhillips presents the same amounts elsewhere. The 10-K does not print a total realized price for 2023.
  • The trailing-twelve-month block covers July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026 and is derived as fiscal year 2025 plus the six months ended June 30, 2026 less the six months ended June 30, 2025, line by line, from the two filings named above. Its diluted EPS of $7.56 is the same combination of the reported per-share amounts ($6.35 plus $5.00 less $3.79); the filings do not publish a twelve-month weighted-average share count for that window, so no trailing share count is stated.
  • Dividends declared per share come from the statements of changes in equity, which name the rate alongside the amount. ConocoPhillips declared ordinary dividends of $2.11 per share in 2023, $2.52 in 2024 and $3.18 in 2025, and additionally declared a variable return of cash of $1.80 per share in 2023 and $0.60 in 2024, with none in 2025. Dividends declared and dividends paid differ within a year because a dividend declared in one quarter is paid in the next.
  • ConocoPhillips reports in U.S. dollars and is not an American depositary receipt issuer, so no currency translation and no per-ADS conversion were applied. It has had no stock split in the period these filings cover, so no per-share figure required restatement.
  • All dollar amounts are stated in actual dollars. The filings state them in millions, and share counts in thousands, and both have been scaled accordingly.

Uncertainties

  • The three-month cash flow figures for the quarters ended June 30, 2026 and June 30, 2025 are not printed in the 10-Q, whose cash flow statement shows six-month columns only. They come from ConocoPhillips' own detailed supplemental information filed as an exhibit to its August 6, 2026 Form 8-K (accession 0001163165-26-000030). They are the company's figures on the same basis, but they are not audited financial statements and they are not part of the 10-Q.
  • No balance sheet is reported for fiscal 2023, and only total equity and, under segment results, total assets are reported at June 30, 2025, because the filings covered here do not print full balance sheets for those dates.
  • The trailing-twelve-month figures are derived by combining periods rather than read from a column, so they carry the rounding of the reported millions. The trailing diluted EPS in particular is a combination of reported per-share amounts and is not a figure ConocoPhillips publishes.
  • The total realized price per BOE for the six months ended June 30, 2026 ($56.37) and for the six months ended June 30, 2025 ($49.54) comes from ConocoPhillips' second-quarter 2026 earnings release, filed as Exhibit 99.1 to the August 6, 2026 Form 8-K (accession 0001163165-26-000030); the 10-Q prints that line for the three-month columns only.
  • Total production stated in MMBOE is rounded to whole millions of barrels of oil equivalent in the filings, so it does not reconcile exactly to daily-rate production multiplied by the days in the period.

FAQ · ConocoPhillips financial statements

How much did ConocoPhillips earn in Q2 FY2026?

ConocoPhillips reported net income of $3.93 billion for Q2 FY2026, the quarter ended June 30, 2026, up 99.4% from $1.97 billion in the same quarter a year earlier. That worked out to $3.23 per diluted share against $1.56 a year earlier, with per-share earnings rising faster than net income because share repurchases reduced the diluted share count.

What was ConocoPhillips revenue in Q2 FY2026?

ConocoPhillips reported $19.52 billion in total revenues and other income for Q2 FY2026, the quarter ended June 30, 2026, up 32.4% from $14.74 billion a year earlier. That top line covers sales of crude oil, bitumen, natural gas, natural gas liquids and LNG together with equity earnings of affiliates, gains on dispositions and other income.

Why did ConocoPhillips profit rise in Q2 FY2026?

ConocoPhillips earned more in Q2 FY2026 because oil prices rose, not because it produced more. Its average realized price was $62.33 per barrel of oil equivalent, up 36.2%, as Middle East supply disruptions lifted crude benchmarks, and higher crude and bitumen realizations outweighed a sharply lower natural gas price, lower volumes and the absence of a prior-year gain on asset dispositions.

How much oil and gas did ConocoPhillips produce in Q2 FY2026?

ConocoPhillips produced 2,248 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day in Q2 FY2026, the quarter ended June 30, 2026, down 6.0% from 2,391 a year earlier. The decline came mainly from normal field decline and the noncore Lower 48 assets sold during 2025, partly offset by new wells brought online in the Lower 48, Canada, Alaska, China, Australia and Libya.

Where can I get ConocoPhillips (COP) financial data in machine-readable form?

The 10-K and 10-Q narrative and the 8-K events digest are published as Markdown at https://tickerscout.ai/cop/narrative.md and https://tickerscout.ai/cop/events.md. When does ConocoPhillips (COP) next file with the SEC?

ConocoPhillips (COP) is expected to file its next Form 10-Q with the SEC on or around October 29, 2026. That date is a projection rather than a company-announced date: it is derived from ConocoPhillips's own filing history with the SEC, by taking the date the company filed the same fiscal period a year earlier and adding 52 weeks. The most recent periodic report on file is the 10-Q for Q2 FY2026, the period ended 2026-06-30, SEC accession 0001163165-26-000032.

How this page was built

This page was built from three of ConocoPhillips's own filings with the SEC, read one at a time. Nothing on it is taken from a pre-tagged dataset, a data vendor or another website. The figures are on the company's own fiscal calendar and in actual dollars, as the filings report them. Where the filings do not support a figure, the record says so instead of reporting a zero; this period names five such gaps.

A single company files thousands of pages with the SEC in a year, and no two companies file them the same way, so the reading and the assembly here are done by AI rather than by rules that break on the differences. Every pass is then audited back against the filings it came from before the page is published, and anything the filings do not support is left out and named rather than filled in. AI can still make mistakes. That is why the accession numbers are printed: the filing is the authority, and this page is a route to it.
