Adjustments
| Splits applied | none |
|---|---|
| ADR ratio | n/a |
| Per share basis | ASML is not an ADR issuer. Its ordinary shares (nominal value €0.09) are themselves registered on the Nasdaq Stock Market under the symbol ASML, as the cover of the FY2025 Form 20-F states, so every per-share figure here is per ordinary share, which is what a US holder owns. No depositary ratio applies. |
| FX | ASML reports in euros. Every money figure is converted to US dollars: income statement, cash flow and per-share figures at the average euro rate for the period, balance sheet figures at the rate on (or the last business day before) the balance sheet date. Neither filing states a translation rate, so all rates are the US Federal Reserve euro rate (FRED series DEXUSEU); each period records the rate it used under 'conversion'. Share counts, percentages and unit sales are not converted. |
Notes
- Annual figures (FY2023 to FY2025) come from the US GAAP consolidated financial statements in ASML's FY2025 Form 20-F (accession 0001628280-26-011378). The 20-F prints three years of operations and cash flows but only two balance sheet dates, so FY2023 carries no balance sheet.
- Quarterly, nine-month and trailing figures come from the unaudited US GAAP summary financial statements in ASML's Q3 2026 Form 6-K (accession 0001628280-26-065813, Exhibit 99.3). That exhibit prints a quarterly summary of five discrete quarters, Q3 2025 through Q3 2026, for operations, balance sheet and cash flows, so each of those quarters is reported here as printed. The Q4 2025 column agrees with the FY2025 Form 20-F less the nine months to September 28, 2025 (total net sales €32,667.3 million less €22,949.2 million is €9,718.1 million).
- ASML's fiscal year ends on December 31, but its first three fiscal quarters end on a Sunday: Q1 2026 ran January 1 to March 29, Q2 2026 March 30 to June 28, and Q3 2026 June 29 to September 27, 2026. The comparable 2025 quarter ended September 28, 2025.
- The trailing twelve months (September 29, 2025 to September 27, 2026) is the sum of the four printed quarters Q4 2025 to Q3 2026, computed in euros. It agrees with FY2025 plus the nine months of 2026 less the nine months of 2025 (for example total net sales of €39,473.5 million and net income of €13,474.3 million). No trailing per-share figure is given.
- Cost and outflow lines (cost of sales, R&D and SG&A costs, income tax expense, purchases of property, plant and equipment and of intangible assets, dividends paid, purchases of treasury shares) are stored as positive amounts; the filings print them in parentheses as deductions. Net investing and financing cash flows keep their sign.
- Free cash flow follows ASML's own definition in the FY2025 Form 20-F: net cash provided by operating activities minus purchases of property, plant and equipment and purchases of intangible assets. 'capex' here is the sum of those two purchase lines. On this basis FY2025 free cash flow is €11,027.3 million and FY2024 €9,083.1 million, the amounts the 20-F itself reports. Free cash flow is a non-GAAP measure.
- 'cash_and_short_term_investments' adds the cash and cash equivalents and short-term investments lines of the balance sheet; ASML's Q3 2026 results release reports the same measure, rounded, as €12,735 million at the end of Q3 2026 and €7,582 million at the end of Q2 2026.
- 'long_term_debt' is the non-current portion only. 'total_debt' is given for the annual balance sheets, where the 20-F prints short-term borrowings and the current portion of long-term debt separately, and is that line plus long-term debt.
- 'gain_loss_on_equity_investments' is a line ASML's 2026 interim statements add below income from operations: a gain of €509.7 million in Q3 2026, nil in the earlier quarters printed. The Q3 2026 cash flow statement deducts €508.8 million for equity investments among the adjustments reconciling net income to operating cash flow. The FY2025 Form 20-F statement of operations has no such line, so the annual periods do not carry it.
- The Q3 2026 Form 6-K balance sheet shows current liabilities as a single line, so current contract liabilities, accounts payable and current borrowings are given only for the annual balance sheets. 'contract_liabilities_non_current' is the non-current contract liabilities line in both filings.
- Lithography system unit sales are as ASML prints them in its ratios and other data table and exclude metrology and inspection systems. Gross margin percentages are as printed, computed by ASML in euros.
Uncertainties
- All quarterly, nine-month and trailing figures are unaudited. The discrete Q4 2025, Q1 2026 and Q2 2026 quarters are taken from the quarterly summary in the Q3 2026 Form 6-K rather than from each quarter's own release.
- US dollar amounts are translations at market rates the filings do not state. A trailing twelve-month dollar figure, converted at the twelve-month average rate, will not equal the sum of the four quarters' dollar figures, each converted at its own quarter's rate.
- Total debt cannot be determined for the interim balance sheets, because the Q3 2026 Form 6-K does not break out short-term borrowings or the current portion of long-term debt from current liabilities.

How this page was built
This page was built from two of ASML Holding N.V.'s own filings with the SEC, read one at a time. Nothing on it is taken from a pre-tagged dataset, a data vendor or another website. The figures are on the company's own fiscal calendar and in actual dollars, as the filings report them. Where the filings do not support a figure, the record says so instead of reporting a zero; this period names three such gaps.
A single company files thousands of pages with the SEC in a year, and no two companies file them the same way, so the reading and the assembly here are done by AI rather than by rules that break on the differences. Every pass is then audited back against the filings it came from before the page is published, and anything the filings do not support is left out and named rather than filled in. AI can still make mistakes. That is why the accession numbers are printed: the filing is the authority, and this page is a route to it.
